Title: Picked up a Vendo 44 Post by: Kaleid20 on July 13, 2013, 06:49:44 pm Not long after talking about how overpriced Vendo 44's are, I ending up picking one up yesterday. Not going to divulge what I paid. :tounge: It's complete, solid, and runs, but the paint is in really bad shape.

Title: Re: Picked up a Vendo 44 Post by: BONOVOX on July 13, 2013, 08:52:27 pm I guess because of the single vend, and the prices that they command, the 44's are not that popular with many collectors... but I think because of the small floor space they take, you could stick one anywhere in the mancave. And it doenst hurt that the Mrs calls the 44 "cute" yet she things all the other machines are fugly.
Since I got the VMC 44 to go with the Vendo 44, if I ever come accross another 44 worth buying, I'm bringing that "cute" thing home! Nice pick up by the way... so what are your plans with it now? :happydrinkers: Title: Re: Picked up a Vendo 44 Post by: Kaleid20 on July 14, 2013, 11:33:39 am Nice pick up by the way... so what are your plans with it now? Restore at some point. It's not a show piece by any measure. Paint looks like garbage. I'll probably keep so I can say I have my Vendo 44. Title: Re: Picked up a Vendo 44 Post by: Kaleid20 on July 14, 2013, 05:16:34 pm How would you guys rate the level of pain and difficulty in restoring a 44 on a scale of 1-10? 1 being walk in the park, 10 being rather slam my head in a car door.
My main question would be, are the easy to assemble and reassemble. Title: Re: Picked up a Vendo 44 Post by: tkaz on July 14, 2013, 06:34:20 pm I only did a partial restore on one that I had a few years ago, but I found it to be very reasonable to work with. The vending stack comes out with 4 bolts (I think) and then you're left with the compressor deck and that's about it. I pulled the deck and completely rewired it all; I was able to get all the wiring from Home Depot.
Let me know if you need the manual, I have a PDF copy. Title: Re: Picked up a Vendo 44 Post by: Smallblock on July 14, 2013, 06:45:11 pm Forget restoring it's nearly impossible  Ehh what do you ask for it?
Kidding aside I have never see one in real but i think it's easy to restore due to the small size but i guess you must remove bottle stack before pulling out cooling deck. Edit i see now that tkaz said the same about the compressor Ps if you want to sell it pm me. I recently buy a wc-42t which i have shipped overseas from Houston Ds Title: Re: Picked up a Vendo 44 Post by: Kaleid20 on July 16, 2013, 03:49:35 pm Guys, Im taking offers on this.
