Title: Sign Question Post by: mznb1u on July 12, 2013, 09:08:34 pm I bought this sign to be a nice hanger and the seller listed it as a repop. The more I look at it the more I am not sure if it is a repop or an original. The quality of the paint seems too nice to be a repop. The small bit of rust in the corner is the only flaw. It is perfect otherwise.
What is the verdict? Did I get a nice repop or did I force someone's grandmother to eat cat food because they sold me a good quality original for the price of a cheap repop? Value? Thanks! Tim Title: Re: Sign Question Post by: Slapshot42 on July 12, 2013, 09:16:16 pm I have the newest Petreti's Book 12th Edition

Title: Re: Sign Question Post by: mznb1u on July 12, 2013, 10:09:00 pm Well I feel bad but not too bad. I saw it advertised as a repop. I thought it was fairly priced for a repop at $20. The seller made it clear that it was a repop when I talked to her on the phone and she even offered to drop the price when she discovered the rust. I told her it was no big deal because I was buying it to hang on the wall. I was in quite a hurry when I picked it up and she met me at the door with the sign. I handed her the money and she handed me the sign and I did not really look it over until I got home.
Win some, lose some. I had a pretty crappy day today but at least one thing went my way! Thanks for the info Jared. Tim Title: Re: Sign Question Post by: MoonDawg on July 12, 2013, 10:18:32 pm Very nice sign.
Title: Re: Sign Question Post by: pinballdude on July 12, 2013, 10:22:51 pm I'm pretty sure that one has never been repro'ed. I had one at one time. You never mentioned if the
dimensions on yours matched those posted in Petretti's. Good deal @$20. Terry Title: Re: Sign Question Post by: mznb1u on July 12, 2013, 10:39:33 pm It does match the dimensions that Jared posted. And it will still go on the wall. Love the looks of it.
