Title: Vendo V-23 insulation (for restoration)
Post by: brasskey on June 29, 2013, 09:34:46 pm
I'm starting to put a V-23 back together and I was looking for advice on insulation.  I haven't measured but the gap between the inner and outer tubs is pretty small (mabye 1"-2").  I don't think R19 would work as it would be too compacted.  Assuming someone here has restored one, what insulation did you use and how did you get it in?  The cardboard method seems like it would be a little tricky as there's not much room to play with and since it's circular.  Any ideas?

Still looking for insulation recommendations if anyone has restored a V-23.

Well I'm a newbie, and I've never done a v23. But on my westinghouse I used regular r19 insulation. You have to take the paper backing off though, It worked out ok. The liner slide back in pretty well.

I know some people on here use a non expanding foam but I think that's expensive. And they also have some insulation am out of jeans.

Lots of choices just gotta see what you like.

Good luck,
