Title: Cherry Phosphate Post by: Kaleid20 on June 25, 2013, 09:12:53 pm Guys,
This is more for you soda jerk fountain buffs out there. I saw this and thought it was worth posting. Didn't realize how hard it is to actually find a true Cherry Phosphate these days. Nice article, along with the "real" ingredients: http://www.artofdrink.com/soda-fountain/drinks/cherry-phosphate/ Title: Re: Cherry Phosphate Post by: Eric on June 25, 2013, 09:28:15 pm A couple places I 've gotten to go still make them Dr. Jazz Soda Fountain in Lebanon, IL and I think there is one in
Webster Groves, MO... Good Stuff... The one in Lebanon is a Bed and Breakfast after the fountain closes he gives the guest of the B&B a chance to get behind the fountain and shows them how to make them... Was awesome. Title: Re: Cherry Phosphate Post by: aspbear on June 26, 2013, 07:19:25 am Eric, I have also been to the one in Lebanon it is truly a trip down memory lane. When I was a kid my paper route ended at an old pharmacy/soda fountain. A nickel for a cherry phosphate and then off to home.
I still make them for the grand kids and while sweet they are not as good, may have been the paper cups... Title: Re: Cherry Phosphate Post by: bcharlton on June 26, 2013, 08:12:28 am I will be making cherry phosphates for my favorite costumers in the malt shop. Thanks for the tip.
