Title: The thrill of the chase, the agony of the reality
Post by: tkaz on June 21, 2013, 10:47:47 am
I responded to a local ad for a 'Vendo Coke Machine', sent a few texts back and forth with the seller.  Really got my hopes up there, just to be squandered in the end!  :darn:

Lol...I've been chasing a round top RC cola machne for a while...they haven't responded to my emails...she said it was her husbands and she doesn't get on the Internet very often...from her description, it's a 110 or 81....it's killing me!

A collectibles dealer in Maine named Gary just met someone from GA in Ohio to purchase an original RC 81...  So they are around, but pricey ! ! !  Gary sold his for 10K

I saw a 50's machine for sale on CL here while back, no make or model, and thought I could be walking into a great buy. Turned out to be a late 50's Westy Select-O-Matic with a bad vend motor.  :darn:

EDIT: I don't know for sure the motor was bad, but it wouldn't vend anyway.
