Title: Vendo Coin Changer Stand Post by: Matt on June 05, 2013, 11:48:03 pm Have a couple questions about the standalone Vendo coin changers (the model where you drop in a quarter and it gives out 5 nickels)...
1. What did these changers attach to--side of machine, wall, stand, etc.? 2. Is there such thing as an "original" base and pole (stand)? When I search for information, I see that some people have the changer on a "coca cola" base. Others, it's on a plain round base. I'm trying to understand what does an original coin changer stand look like. Doesn't mean anyone could have mounted a VCC to any machine provided there's enough room... And yes, they were mounted on walls as well.
As for the correct base/pole, to best of my knowledge, the original base is a plain round (approx. 16"-18" dia.) with two holes for securing to the ground. The pole appears to be a 1-1/4" rigid pipe and both are supposed to be black. There are several members with an "original" setup that may chime in and perhaps post a photo... He wanted $1200 for it, which is not way out of line IMO.

There is a jam nut under the base to keep someone from unscrewing the pole. There are two holes in the base to bolt it down to the ground. |
