Title: Interesting Coke V81D on Ebay with Transitional Coin Door
Post by: SIGNGUY on May 31, 2013, 02:04:39 pm
Check this out.. Looks like a Transitional Coin door on a V81D.

didn't know this coin door would fit... also looks like the coin mech was modified a bit as well.

That's the one I posted about, 2 or 3 days ago, the v81 STcoin door kinda looks good on it and the coin mech is a repro, the same one that Funtronics sells, I was working out a deal with him on both machines he has listed but like I said, I think  he caught an episode of AR during our negotiations because his price doubled over night lol he originally had it listen as a Vendo 39 but edited the listing a few days later ! Nice machine except for the tub bottom, looks to be deteriorated a bit, which means the pan is probably roted out !

What is that spiral thing where the coin box should fit?
I think the Coin Return cup is too close to the side wall of the coin door to allow for a coin box, so you have an issue of
A: No possibility of coins being returned
and
B: ALL inserted coins (regardless of acceptance) funneled into something on the side.

It is a nice look, but not at the cost of "lost" functionality IMO

That machine popped up on my iphone ebay app when it was origianlly listed.  It has some strange looks to it.  Besides the transitional coin door, the paint looks off to me.  The embossed lettering looks to be two different shades for "Coca" and "Cola", plus the width of the lettering looks to be different.  If you compare the "o"s and the "a"s they don't look like they match.
