For Sale: VMC 110 Pepsi

As you can see from the pictures, at some point somebody decided that the machine looked better in black. Overall, it's a solid machine with the normal compliments of scratches and a few dings. The most noticeable ding being directly to the left of the Main Door Lock. The cooling sytem works fine and pulls down to temp.

This machine has been sitting in the garage and much like the VMC 81 Pepsi I just sold, another machine that I will never get around to restoring.

Here's how it sits. The machine was in black spraybomb when I purchased/rescued it. The body/main door are in good shape with what I would consider the normal amount of small dents & dings. The main door lock was missing the key but it was missing enough pins/fingers in the lock where it only requires a screwdriver to open it for now. I removed the liner to inspect for rust and while I was at it I removed the old nasty insulation. I tested the refrigeration system and it seemed to operate properly & cool down just fine.

Here's what's missing (from what I have seen):
- Coin Door
- Coin Mech
- Sold Out Flag Assembly
- Coin Box and mounting bracket
- Main Door Lock & Key
- Has (3) bottle shelves but is missing the rest.

The 55C went out the door about 7 months ago. Keeping the "B" and more than likely the Vendo RT56 and a few smaller coin-op machines here and there. Even though the "new" house is much larger than the old one, we just didn't have enough dedicated space for all of my stuff. That coupled with shifting hobby winds has me downsizing. All of the pins and bingo's are gone as well.

I've recently become re-bitten by the vintage VW bug (pun intended!) again.

The machine is: SOLD!  :biggrin:

WOW that thing sold almost as fast as the Pepsi 81 you had.

By the way, since the deal is done I will go ahead and let everyone know that I bought the VMC 81 from Brian. Plan to restore it to his specification....all blue.


Brian, it was great to meet you and your family yesterday. Wish I had more time to stay around and see your collection. Will PM my address to you as promised.

Will keep everyone posted on the machine's progress.

Good week??? It sound ls pretty emotional giving these things away like this!!

They sold quick!!  That is all...

Dang! Always a day late and a dollar short! :glare:

I'll have to admit it has been a bit emotional. This isn't a cyclic thing with me where I collect a bunch and then sell then repeat as neccesary.

There may be more stuff to follow. I'd rather give folks here a shot at stuff before putting things on Craigslist or ebay.

For those of you who missed out on this machine there is one that has come up for sale in my area (Kentucky). It's about an hour away from where I live if anyone needs help with it.
