they want $400 for it.  Cord is busted so not sure if it works.   DEAL OR NO DEAL?

not a deal to me, but maybe if you part it out, or really want one.

single vend, small bottles only, blah blah blah...

Cord is busted = doesn't cool.

For me, "no deal" - although I do like the styling on those machines.

Jim

Though I do like it and want it, I see your point.  Hold out for the one I really want.

Thanks!  :drinking:

Cord would be no problem to replace and might still work fine.  My current machine still works no problem. Cools down nice and quick! from 1945!

Thank you for the input though.  Much appreciated!  Looks like I shall pass on it.

If it is complete and I lived in L. A. It would be in my garage already. I'm a sucker for a Westie and I like how the WC-42 looks.

Now THOSE I like.

Hey Ken - want to go halves on them and make him an offer?  I'd love to have the one on the right, I like the two-tone.

he's selling them for a friend who is recently a widow. previous owner (his buddy) died 2-3 years ago if it's the same guy.

he's been trying to sell them for years.  i bought a slider off him a couple years ago.

i think he was asking 3200 for the pair of westy's at the time.

The one in the top listing at least has a rack you could take off the machine and bolt to the wall . That bottle rack should be worth $75 to $100 dollars.

Can't the coin mechs on these be converted to work on large doors 56/81/110's?

I had a westy rack for sale for $50 at the chicago show. I didn't have 1 tire kicker even look at it, so I gave it to Ken Barrett for free!

I thought the same..worth $75-100, but no go. Timing/Location is everything!  I missed on both instances!

Run from this project. Granted, the coin mech. is worth $300.00 but restoring it will far exceed it's value.

You could make a little money parting it out, but a lot of work for not much return. Breaking down listing, packaging, shipping. Most of the value is in the coin mech. All of the parts are specific to the Westy machines, so not much value there.

I've always thought those coin doors would be cool to hang on the wall like a picture frame. Weld a post for the crank handle, get everything chromed and give it a nice paint job....it would look cool!
