Title: Temperature control in a cavalier c55 Post by: on November 30, 2004, 05:27:14 pm I recently bought a really nice original Cavalier 55, works great except the compressor doesn't seem to stop for more then 30 seconds at a time, the temperature inside gets to cold. I can't find a thermostat anywhere in this machine, anyone know how I can change the temperature setting?
Thanks Title: Temperature control in a cavalier c55 Post by: johnieG on November 30, 2004, 06:40:42 pm No problem...it's right about ...here!

opps! sorry! guess I was a little dislexic on the model no. should be right near the evaporator coils, under the sheet-metal hood & it may not have a knob, only a slotted shaft.. Title: Temperature control in a cavalier c55 Post by: on December 01, 2004, 10:47:25 am Found it, behind the left bottle rack. Unfortunately it appears to be unadjustable, the middle of it where you would usually find the knob is a big hole with the thermometer going through it, surrounded by some putty of some sort.

Title: Temperature control in a cavalier c55 Post by: on December 01, 2004, 11:18:19 am woo-hoo, I found it for real this time, not sure what I was looking at inside of the machine. I unscrewed the panel off of the back of the machine and pushed aside some insulation and there it was. A real nice thermostat to, not your typical Vendo thermostat. Actually had a little arrow which pointed to the temperature it was set at as you turned the knob.
