Title: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: MaineT on April 18, 2013, 07:21:04 pm Going to look at this tomorrow. Anyone know what it is worth? I have looked on the net and they appear to be on the rare side.
Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: HowDueYouDue on April 18, 2013, 08:02:33 pm How much is the seller asking? Does it work, have keys, missing anything?

Rare yes. Parts hard to find, if found at all,? Yes. Price? Haven't a clue. I have nothing to compare it to. Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: MaineT on April 18, 2013, 08:18:31 pm It is non working due to non use over the last 15 years. Its supposed to be complete, but not sure about the keys, its only non working. They remember using a dime to start it.
$6500... no, they are asking a lot less then my first car... I paid $1000 for that. Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! The hard part will to get it to stick to the wall sideways at my house like it is now!! Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: Kilroy on April 18, 2013, 08:27:45 pm I tihnk the keys are to get into the mechanics. I assume the "road" is acetone, If you can examine it, look for brittleness, cracking etc. Most of it looks like it just needs a good cleaning.

Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: davin72 on April 19, 2013, 07:58:56 am Im an arcade collector and this got posted on a site im on the other day. I was trying to find the thread over there but couldnt. If this was a CL add send it to me and Ill do a search over there with that info. Trust me.....if one of those guys didnt buy it then there is something wrong with this machine and you might want to be very cautious.
Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: davin72 on April 19, 2013, 08:31:54 am Nevermind I finally found it over there. I asked a few questions from those guys and should have some answers for you shortly.
Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: MaineT on April 19, 2013, 09:20:46 am Nevermind I finally found it over there. I asked a few questions from those guys and should have some answers for you shortly. Thanks!!! I saw it 12 min after it went on the market. I do a daily search and it popped on and was only listed for that long before I happened to hit search.... Its the same general search for "arcade" every day via the app, so it hasn't been there for the last 3 months for those that are going to blast me. I sift through the same listings over and over every day so I see things get relisted and refreshed EVERY DAY! Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: davin72 on April 19, 2013, 09:23:55 am From what they are telling me it will be almost imposible to find parts for it but if its all there then it shouldnt be to hard to fix.
Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: davin72 on April 19, 2013, 09:25:24 am And sorry it was just posted over there yesterday morning. I thought it was a few days ago but I was wrong.
Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: MaineT on April 19, 2013, 03:25:51 pm Well, its in my trailer waiting to be unloaded.... its in better condition then it looked. Missing one thing that will be easy to find.. one of the plywood back doors. As it goes, that is just a trip to home depot!
Backglass is mint! Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: Kilroy on April 19, 2013, 03:28:51 pm Congrats Tim, Looks like it will clean up nicely. the decals faded should be easy to repop .

Post by: MaineT on April 20, 2013, 04:42:23 pm So I have a trade on the table that includes this restored Sky Gunner and a pinball. Since the drive yourself needs to be restored and I'm not dying for a project I'm thinking its a good for both of us.
Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: TomFromJersey on April 20, 2013, 09:16:34 pm Tim
Did you restore the Sky Gunner? It looks great! I have atleast 20 hours into the restoration of my cabinet alone. I had a standup Drive about 3 years ago, missing 1 stepper, think I got about $500 for it. TFJ Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: Creighton on April 21, 2013, 01:14:40 am Trade that quick. Good deal for all.
Creighton Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: Kilroy on April 21, 2013, 09:31:00 am Tim, which pinball may I ask? I am digging the Sky Gunner.
Title: Re: ARCADE HELP!!!! Post by: MaineT on April 21, 2013, 10:10:27 am Tim, which pinball may I ask? I am digging the Sky Gunner. Quick draw. It supposed to br in good condition, but needs to be shopped and is coming out of storage. Looked up reviews and people seem to like it, so it appears decent and will be a good runner for me. |
