Title: Re: ESTABLISHING A FAIR DATE FOR A 159 VENDO

The decal on the front of the chest is the Bottle-in-Hand, which I only found on one site which gave it a date - 1947 (unconfirmed date).

I have owned round top and square top machines with this decal I would say used from the early to mid 50's - 60's.

Decal was not put on by vendo but by the bottling company.

Thanks coke-n-stuff. I agree that the decal went on by the bottling company, maybe when the Vendo top was installed, who knows. IF I ever can confirm the decal date I'll let you know.

Coke-and-Stuff,
I inspected the decal this a.m. You are right. It's of a 'none Pat. D' bottle which would date it 1952 - 1957. Thanks for your alert.
The decal measures 13 3/4" H x 7 3/8" wide.
Have a good one.
Ted
