Title: Westinghouse WC-78-MD
Post by: sc1101 on April 15, 2013, 08:35:31 pm
Whats a reasonable price for a complete working Westinghouse WC-78-MD model. This guy is asking 125.00. Seems reasonable to me. Ive always liked the look of the "Select O Matic" even though its only a 1960's machine. I think its the gold selector switch that peaks my interest or maybe its just the fact I see it every time I'm on the SMC forums.

Snag it. that is a more than fair price for that machine. I bought one for $300 and  the seller had it plugged in and running and loaded with soda. It was cold and vended and I couldn't bring myself to lowball the guy. Worth every penny.

I'd buy it!  Just make sure the vending motor is in good shape and it's a deal.  These can vend bottles or cans with a cheap mod I posted in the Tutorials section, I really liked the one I had for a while.

Well after taking a ride to see the machine I passed on it. It's amazing how a picture can make a machine look so much better then it is. It looked like it was out on a deck for a year or two and then backed into with a car. She offered it for 100.00 but even if she said free I was still leaving it. This is the first time I've ever left a machine behind. Kinda feeling bad I left her. Most likely she's going to get scrapped.

That's too bad; I sure could use the vend motor if it is working...

Jim, You can try to contact them and see if they would send you the part. It sounded like it may get tossed. They told me it vended.  Here's the link. If they will not send part and you need my help let me know. Seth
