Title: Machine vends when empty
Post by: ANTIQUE CASTLE on April 15, 2013, 04:22:25 pm
What would cause a c-55d to vend when empty?
The empty light is on,and the manual "empty"switch lever is "out".

I'd start by looking at the CREMs behind the slug rejector, they should become de-energized when the coin mech receives an empty signal via pin 6 of the Jones plug, causing the mech to reject coins.  Sounds like they may be staying energized?

CREMS won't cause "mystery" vends, a bad vending relay or logic board inside the coinmech is the most likely culprit.

remember, CREMS reject coins based on change availability ( lack there of)  or sold out conditions. they block vending via disallowing coin acceptance.
