Post by: cohammer on March 16, 2013, 09:39:29 pm
I am looking to start this project in a few weeks .What kind of paint sceme would look good on this fridge.Has any one else done a coca cola or other soda scheme on one of these?

I don't know about a scheme but I do know that they look real good with just a solid color and a bit of polish work.

So I guess people still like a solid color like this one

You can do a red with white top like a coke machine and use right above the embossing as your break line. Red Coca Cola decal on the white and will look pretty cool.

I like the solid, but I think the  front moldings in a  contrasting color, would make it stand out

I like the solid color. The turquoise is good. Maybe a yellow, or pink from that era. I'd say don't try to make it what it isn't. It's not a Coke machine, so I wouldn't try to make it look like one.

Find out the year and paint it the color of a popular muscle car from that time period. No flames or anything like that. Just a solid color. I think those look cool.

Just my .02

I vote for solid.
The turqouise one is beautiful.

I think the nice embossing should be destroyed if you paint the them. They stand out best solid.

Maybe if you wish have two tone paint. Try one color at the cabinet and little darker or lighter on the doors.

I'm a big fan of that turquoise, but the green is nice too!  I vote solid color for the paint job.  I like that model fridge as well...keep waiting on one to pop up in my neck of the woods.

Nothing wrong with color coordinating. It will look great in that color. My 7Up machines are all white and that carries over into the flames on my coupe.
