Unfortunately, I was also bidding...
Over $900 ! ! !

This was to be an upgrade for my personal collection as I do have a very nice original, but this one was nicer!  Oh well...

I orignally took it to a little over 400 but then just got the impulse to keep going to 500. Then in just a few seconds it jumped to 581 and then 909. Someone must have wanted it really bad at that price. I will admit that it is the coolest orignal I have seen. Hopefully another will come along soon for you Jim.... and much cheaper!!!!

$909 for one of these  :Oo: , that seems kinda high.  I understand that it was probably the only remaining NOS machine, but almost a grand    !!!

What is the going rate for one of these?

$909 if you find a sucka!!

From what I have seen, they are normally in the 225-350 range if original, presentable and working. Obviously NOS would be much better then just presentable and working hence the battle price if you had to have it.

if i owned that i wouldnt part with it for $500 so I think the selling price was fair if you look at it from that point of view

The buyer decided it was worth $900 for him to own it.

I don't think there are many of those machines around now in the $200's... Maybe five years ago.

I finally got one last year after many years of hankering after one and paid $500. It was a professional restoration inside and out.
I was very happy with the price.
