Title: Refrigerant identification Post by: on November 17, 2004, 01:08:49 pm Can anyone tell me what kind of refrigerant is in my Ideal 500A slider?
I'm looking to rebuild the compressor unit, and I was told that it may not be R12, and thus environmentally safe. Thanks! However if you are replacing your unit's compressor , then the tech will have to use R134, or an approved replacement. (I'm assuming it's a sealed unit, & not a belt driven mechanical compressor.)
