Does anybody know how to change the coin amount to vend? Right now, it seems if I start feeding in Quarters after 4 it goes into vend mode and gives me back 2 dimes.  Also my vend solenoid is missing....any ideas where to find?

Steve,

What coin mech do you have...?
Look for a manufacturer/model tag. Can you post a photo...?
Based on what you have said, it would seem that the mech is set at .80...
This pricing would rule out some of the older coin mechs that max out at .75...
Removed the slug rejector and look for a set of dip switches that may possibly be located in the upper left side of the area... If present, these will set the pricing. Upper side depressed is "on" while the opposite side depressed down will be "off". Depending on make/model, the values of the dip switches may vary slightly; you might have to experiment if you can't identify the coin mech model...
As far as the vending solenoid, check in the Parts Suppliers Section

Thank you for the info Jim. My coin mech is a Vari Price 50, I am trying to attach a picure but am having trouble. I did not see any dip switches though.

After removing the coin mech completley from the machine I have diccovered that a removable aluminium panel on the back reveals a circuit board with a schematic of different coin amount settings to follow in order to change the vend price!

Thanks for your help

Hello

I have the same Vari-Price 50 in my Vendo 63.  So how did you take the coin mechinism out of the machine? Were you able to adjust the vending cost?

Thanks.

Kevin

Kevin, you first need to take out the slug rejector,(upper part, small latch on top left-tilts out torward you) then you will see 3 screws in the back....loosen them a couple of turns and the entire coin mech should lift out. Disconnect the jones plug and yopu can work on the unit on your workbench.
The coin mech adjustments are behind that aluminium panel (4 screws) and all directions are inside.:D
