Title: Cornelius Type 120 Coin mech missing Free vend Questions. Post by: Deacon on February 06, 2013, 10:27:43 pm Ok Guys,
I have looked at the LONG thread about free vend but I guess my Machine being a newer one or maybe because of the brand. Isn't wired the same. I don't have anything attached to pin 1. I Have taken apart the Box that the Plug is mounted on and found a three prong molex plug tied to the wiring of the Jones plug. Two of the Pins on that are HOT and one seems to be a neutral. If I jumper Pin 8 to Pin 6 I hear the Vending Solenoid click. but no vend when I select a flavor. So Then I figured that maybe someone wired the Whole plug backwards and tried jumpering pin 2 and 6 together and the switch between 6 and 8 no joy. I must be doing something wrong does anyone know how to make this work. Deacon Title: Re: Cornelius Type 120 Coin mech missing Free vend Questions. But I think The Wiring to the jones plug is the same as mine. So What Wires Do I need to Connect Together To Allow For Free Vending Deacon Title: Re: Cornelius Type 120 Coin mech missing Free vend Questions. Post by: johnieG on February 08, 2013, 11:48:30 pm 1 & 3 , same as the free play switch diagram, I read your earlier posts & I believe you read the pinout backwards on your machine, the wiring diagram you've shown is correct, it's just pins 1 & 3.
pay attestation to the sold out switches & any carrier/vend ready ("vend-in-progress" switches in your case) switches on the rack. some machines required a minimum number of cans/bottle to be loaded into all of the selection columns before it would accept any coins or allow the selection buttons to activated. Post by: Deacon on February 10, 2013, 11:01:43 pm Thank you so much for the info going to go pick up more sodas and try wiring it to pins 1 & 3 and see what happens tomorrow.
Wish me luck boys. :darn: Title: Re: Cornelius Type 120 Coin mech missing Free vend Questions. Post by: Kilroy on February 11, 2013, 08:46:25 am I just want to say good luck. We're all counting on you.
Title: Re: Cornelius Type 120 Coin mech missing Free vend Questions. Post by: Deacon on February 11, 2013, 11:40:54 am OK Maybe partial success. I am hearing a click from the Credit relay under the jones plug.
however. I am not getting a vend. I am wondering if it is because I am missing one of the vend relays. for slot number 5. I am wondering if the relays might be wired in series. I would think that would be a stupid way to do it but I can't rule it out yet. Hoping that I am wrong. By The way my local electronics store doesn't seem to have this relay it is a Potter & Brumfield KU-4366. Does anyone have an extra one that they can sell me. Post by: Norrisk66 on February 13, 2013, 04:34:20 pm You should be able to get that relay from grainger.com. If you aren't trying to keep it original- I would just wire in a universal relay. You should be able to find a relay socket with "pigtails" that you could butt-splice in place.
