But... I have one dilemma, the coin door is locked so I'm not sure if the coin mech is there, how can I know for certain the coin mech is there?

Look at the key core if there a PR number check with FunT. They have a master set and can make you a key for like $12. They said when they turned the handle it felt spring loaded and the mechanism on the inside of the door that connects to the bottle drum ratchet turned when turning the handle. Is that enough evidence?
