Title: Coin-val
Post by: Kevin C on October 18, 2004, 09:22:44 pm
Hello

I am looking for information on the Vari-Price 50 by Vendo installed in my Vendo 63

Does anyone have information on  my coin mechanism (Vari-Price 50 by Vendo)  Plus I would like to know how to change the vending cost. I was told by the past owner that the cost was set at 35 cents.

Thanks

Kevin   :D

Hello

I have already paid & downloaded all that information. I failed to match my Vari-Price 50 up with the pictures.

Right now I am working the interior clean up & electrical upgrading (fan motors etc.) & condensation shelf repair. I will get to the coin changer in a few days.

Thanks for the help.

Kevin

Hello

I am moving slowly with this but how do you get to the dip switches for changing the prices? Do you have to remove the entire unit form the machine?

If they are there they are behind the slug rejector. That is the removable piece at the top. Some mechs don't have them. I have a few Coinco's that don't have the switches and I can't change them. One has a stamp on the side that says 75 cent conversion 198?. But they are the old diecast mechs.

I just bought a box of Coinco mechs, today (7 in total & two extra slug rejectors too) one of them was a
S75-9800/conversion 5-75 cent mech, it has a Noryl/Plastic housing. heres what I got for my money & they all work!  He even gave me a working 6-head Cornelius post-mix Fountain set up with two carbonators/CO2 regulator & the shurflo pumps for the BIB ( Bag-in box).. a very nice day!

Qty.   Model No.      Voltage      Price Range      Price switches   Notes   Year

1   S75-9400-001      115 Vac/60hz      15 cent fixed      *N.A. Fixed    Cast Metal Housing   1981

1   S75-9800 Conv      115 Vac/60hz      5-75 cent      5-10-20-40   Noryl Housing   1982

1   S75-9400A      115 Vac/60hz      5-55 cent      5-10-15-25   Noryl Housing   1977

1   S75-9800B      24 Vac/60hz      5- 75 cent      5-10-20-40   Noryl Housing   1985

Great find!!

Any chance of pics to help folks ID their mech's?
Have room on one of the servers for uploads if that would help.
Best,
Creighton

Hello

Here are my symptoms.  I added nickels & dimes to the change area. I guess I added about 10 each but did not fill the holding area.

When I drop a quarter into the coin slot the quarter falls all the way into the metal change box. Nickels hold inside the Vari-Price 50 & dimes will hold after the nickels but dimes will wall all the way to the coin return by themselves. The coin return does return all coins.

When I turn on the switch on the lower right side the Vari-Price 50 will start expelling the change coins.

Any ideas?

Right now I have the machine strapped into a free vend mode but I would like to get it to accept coins to vend.

Thanks

Kevin

I also have a veri-price 50 and it is set to 35 cents, I can't seem to figure out the price change either. I've removed the slg rejector and can't see any switches, can the wiring order be changed possibly I an attaching several pictures for reference. Thanks
