Title: Narco Bottle machine (Dixie Narco) Post by: johnieG on December 15, 2012, 07:27:49 pm I went out on a service call late this afternoon on this neat and very clean Narco (Dixie/Narco) model DNS-80 bottle machine still chugging away. It's an older restoration by the owner(s) Father in law, which is why there are no side panel decals, but the Vendo or Cavalier series of Coke decals should fit nicely I think.
Neat machine, at first glance you'd think it was a Vendo V-63, until you notice the rectangular bottle gates, it has a bottle portal lamp like a V-81 too. the owner agreed to allow me to post some pictures an to add the actual Pictures to the soda machine section for posterity's sake (Jim, hint-hint.), note that the Coke marquee is Glass, (not plastic) there's no coinmech so the bottle-gate has been wired open to allow free-vending. there's some light surface rusting noted on the tanks floor area, but it's not terminal. The model tag stated that it's a model DNS-80, (no "A" "B" or "C" designation.) but this one's definitely a bottle vendor, as the gates have rollers just like a Vendo V-63.
