Title: Glasco Evaporator Fan Motor
Post by: ClassicCokeLover on December 05, 2012, 11:45:36 pm
Has anyone ever repaired the original evaporator fan motors? I would like to retain the original, but the fan motor doesn't turn consistently. Starts and stops, runs slow.
Thanks

Don't even bother. There is not a "value reduced " issue with replacing the original fan motors.
I'm a huge supporter of keep it original but on parts that relate to safety and reliable operation new is the way to go.
Just buy new ones from one of the sponsors of this site.

I agree, even if you do get the motor apart there aren't any replaciable parts. Most motors have a single bushing type bearing and can't be replaced.
