I was working on getting this machine about a year ago. If I remember correctly we were about $200 apart, somewhere in the $1,000 range. I forgot the exact details but it seems to have increased in value over the past year. It looks like has a chromed rack too, so some money went into this one.

He even chromed the wrench to open to loading door! :wow: He has a lot of money in chrome on this machine but it is way over-done. The Ideal Coca Cola Slider looks great with the red side and white front with the red embossed letters and red cap catcher. Whoever made the decision to repaint it in solid red make a very costly mistake at resale time. They took away SO much of the appeal of that machine by painting it solid red. ...and why over-restore some parts (chrome base??) but leave others (cap catcher) unrestored? ...and I would like to know where he's seen them go for $6,000 plus perfectly restored. People have no morals. :down: Hopefully I'll soon be able to show everyone what a restored Ideal Slider SHOULD look like. :smile: |
