Title: Need some info on this cooler Post by: on September 22, 2004, 11:25:09 am I have found a Kelvinator from Canada. I am not sure what model it is, but it does look as though it is pre-60's. It has been refurbished. I will be looking to sell this item in the future, but I am not sure what this particular model would go for. If you have any information that would help me identify this machine, I would be grateful. Thank you in advance. JD
Title: Need some info on this cooler Post by: on September 26, 2004, 03:42:02 pm The Cooler in question is a Kelvinator 180. These were manufactured in the 1940's in London, Ontario by Kelvinator Canada Limited. Steve Ebner has repro manuals available for these machines at Funtronics for $7.
Here is a picture of what the cooler looks like with a proper restoration on it. There is a Lot of chrome trim on these and they are heavily pitted 9 times out of 10, but they look great when re-chromed. Pretty nice for a Canadian Cooler, Eh? |
