Title: Rack needed Post by: kbareit on September 11, 2012, 06:49:16 pm I bought this Glasco GBV-60 about a month and a half ago before I was able to get it home after my van got wrecked. I'm looking for the rack and gate assembly. I understand they are hard to come by and I would settle for a few pics and measurements and I might be able to fab one. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Ken Title: Re: Rack needed Post by: mygoose101 on September 11, 2012, 07:52:42 pm To find one or fab one will be very tough, what I would suggest is to look for a Ideal 85 rack and cut it down. I'm fairly sure that would work and a 85 rack will be far easier to find then a 60 rack.

Title: Re: Rack needed Post by: brasskey on September 12, 2012, 08:10:57 pm Ken - Where are you located? I assume nowhere close to me (I'm in the TX panhandle). I have a rack for an 85. It's in need of a sandblast and powdercoat/paint but it's complete with flapper. I planned on using it but the tub it was in was too rusted. So, I just pulled out the salvageable parts (rack, flapper, coin mech, etc). I don't come across many sliders in my area, but I planned on hanging on to it just in case something comes my way (or if Slider Bob can find me a shell). But, if you need it let me know.

I can use it if you want to part with it. I live in NE Ohio so it would have to be shipped. Let me know want you need for it and shipping cost and we'll get it worked out.(http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z221/brasskey/Coke%20Machines/Ideal%2085/A4C9F866-C0D7-4F91-8CB1-5CCE4E7FAF30-15329-000008531AB12427.jpg) (http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z221/brasskey/Coke%20Machines/Ideal%2085/11C3C943-2879-4FA3-85EB-A0BB811C5853-15329-000008531E736927.jpg) Thanks,Ken Title: Re: Rack needed Post by: MoonDawg on September 12, 2012, 09:04:05 pm The length of the rack can be cut down to any size and the spacers re-welded. It's the width that cannot be modified so better measure before committing purchase. Ken - I just took some quick measurements. The width (front to back) of the rack is about 16 5/8". The length (left to right) of the rack is about 35 1/2" not including a small 1/2" lip on the left side of the rack (see 1st picture). Check your machine and see if this will work. EDIT: Now that I look at the rack compared to your unit, I doubt it wil fit. Since yours is a 5 selection and the 85 is a 6 selection, I assume my rack would be too wide to fit your machine. Also when cutting the length of a rack, remember that maintaining the proper spacing is very critical before welding.
