Title: Vendo 77 bulb replacement
Post by: Kaleid20 on September 01, 2012, 01:50:00 pm
Guys, just purchased a V-77 at what I thought was a pretty decent price. One new fan motor later and it's running and cooling great. Looks like the bulb behind the marquee is burned out though. Question is how do I get to it? When I open the door, I can see that the side of the door can come off once unscrewed. Is this where I gain entrance to replace the bulb?

Looks a lot like my Cav 96.   To get to the bulb in mine, you gently pry the frame of the sign away from the front.

Not saying your wrong, but it's in there pretty snug. I gotta think there's some release mechanism that Im not seeing. Here are some pics of inside the coin door looking up. Anything jump out?

There might be a screw or two at or near the bottom of the sign frame. I'm not 100% sure on this machine though

Ok, figured it out. On the side of the door (when opened), there are two bolts. I unscrewed these, and then using Jim's advice pryed the sign on the side. Popped right out no problem. Bulbs replaced!
