Title: First car Post by: scalebowler on August 12, 2012, 09:00:38 pm Bought my first car about a week ago and thought you guys would like to see some pics. It is a 92 Dodge Dynasty and aside from having a few problems it is a really good car. I should have lots of fun working on it. Also 30 miles from hitting 100K so I will have to get a pic of that too.

Title: Re: First car Post by: collecture on August 12, 2012, 11:19:24 pm 1970 Chevy Impala was the first of many cars for me!
I'll never forget giving the ol' 350 a tune-up with my brothers and just loving how great the change was in performance. My best bud was in the car shortly after and I was explaining to him all that we'd done....pushed the pedal to the metal to show it off and it sputtered...I was out of gas! Good times!! I am sure you'll have lots of memories as well! Congrats! Title: Re: First car Post by: dr galaga on August 12, 2012, 11:54:04 pm Looks nice and clean. Congrats.
My first one was a '76 Chevy Blazer. There was so much room under the hood that I could just sit on a wheelwell and do a tune-up or rebuild the carborator! Title: Re: First car Post by: globalcompressors on August 13, 2012, 07:56:33 am this was mine.... and darn glad to have it!

I used to go to the gas station and say "fill up the oil, and check the gas". I don't miss it a bit...Somehow it made Car Of The Year in 72...but not when I got it for free from my sister! Very tired... I did learn how to drive a stick in it, so I got that going for me, which is nice. Title: Re: First car Post by: Wojcik on August 13, 2012, 05:57:12 pm 1974 Mustang fastback

Title: Re: First car Post by: tkaz on August 13, 2012, 09:13:46 pm 1986 Saab 900S, thought I was living in the lap of luxury...until I tried to change the oil. Turns out none of us knew how a Saab works, so we drained the wrong oil and never figured it out. It ended up being the differential oil, and the diff. seized up not too long after that. Didn't know a thing about cars, bought a Haynes manual, read it cover to cover, pulled the engine and replaced the trans...been hooked on cars ever since then.
(not my car, just an example) Title: Re: First car Post by: collecture on August 13, 2012, 09:44:57 pm 1986 Saab 900S, thought I was living in the lap of luxury...until I tried to change the oil. Title: Re: First car Post by: scalebowler on August 27, 2012, 09:26:41 pm Just a quick question but I am planing on replacing my dashboard because the pad is warped and came unglued near the defroster vents and I was wondering if anyone knows if the AC/heater assembly is mounted to the back of the dashboard or to the firewall in this car. If it is mounted to the firewall I will go ahead with the replacement but if it is mounted to the back of the dash I will have to figure something else out.
