Title: 7up & Coke coolers
Post by: Blind1968 on August 09, 2012, 09:05:40 am
Well I hope I didn’t spend too much on these but for $55.00 for both I couldn’t talk myself out of buying them this morning. They will be my first coolers.  :drinking:

That is a great buy!
I'd like to get a 7UP one day.

I'd say that's a good deal and for once, the seller is within reason to say "no low ballers".

I have a nice one that I will consider trading for something of similar value.

I am only 20 minutes from that seller but I passed. seemed like a good price but I thought from the pics that the coke One was missing the handle.  good score either way

Love the shelves with the globes and coolers. Very nice display.

Well I finally received the coolers last night and was excited as I opened the box only to find the shipper had shipped them on top of each other with no padding between. You can imagined what happened on its trip from NY to TN.  :darn: I am waiting on a reply from the seller.

** Seller says he will refund half my money back and I keep the coolers **

I bet the shipping was high for two coolers at one time.  The seven up looks like it really took a beating but nothing that can not be fixed for half price...

It just amazes me how people think....
as long as it's in a box, I'm sure it will get there just fine...

wow..

Good luck!

There's nothing common about "Common Sense" ! ! !

I recently had a seller ship a "Ford Gumball" machine base & pole in a box together with nothing more than 8 - 10 plastic Mountain Dew bottles ! ! !
I was glad to see everything still in the box because I could actually remove everything without even opening the box ! ! !

I hope this work out for you...

When I received the RC cooler, it was obvious that USPS used it for fork lift and drop training.  The body man that worked out the dents spent a tremendous amount of time on it, but it looks great now.  Wish I had kept the picture of it as I opened the box it came in.

Amazing....the lack of concern of some people. So how hard are they to disassemble?  I have never worked on one so this will be my first cooler.  :Oo:

Well........I guess it could be worse, you could have paid top dollar for a set of mint coolers and then had them shipped from this clown.  :wow:

Yes that is so true. I think I can repair them and for the price I didn't get hurt too bad.

NEVER-EVER-EVER let them ship anything of even remote value of a dead cat via the USPS, they are complete IDIOTS & I say that with firm commitment.

I have never had an issue with any shipper...it is ALL in how it is packaged! Package and label it clearly and it will get to it's destination in one piece.

I think this was just a combination of several diffrent factors, little to no packaging material, inadequate box and just bad handling. I share the blame as I should have asked the seller those questions. But I will learn from this and will know better next time.

I've bought a few coolers and had them shipped and have to give credit to the seller. I get a huge box and wonder how big the cooler is, after opening and finding many boxes filled with foam surrounding the cooler. So far no problems as long as it's packed with care.
