I thought it might not be a bad idea for a thread.

Over the last 15 years, I have made some mistakes that I wish I could have back.  I got rid of my mint green Stoner Junior about 7 eyars ago and I wish I had kept it.  It was stunning.  This is only one example.  I have others.

Anyone else????

If I can count my car as a prized piece then yes, I sold my 1965 Impala SS several years ago :darn: :censored: :darn:

I regret selling my 1967 Chevelle Convertable, what a nice car after i restored it and was tooling around Jacksonville Fla with it, even went to a few car shows with it and won 2nd place at the Midwest Chevelle Regionals in Wichata Kansas back in 1992. God i miss that car.

Sold a real 1969 Trans Am back in the late 80's...
Don't think I'll get an opportunity to replace it since they have escalated in price ! ! !

bought my first car, a 1969 camaro for 500.00 in 1981 when I was 15, rebuilt it, painted, reupholstered it etc, think I sold it for 1500 4 years later in college, i bet they fetch a little bit more than that today.  I was lucky as my age group, the muscle cars were hand me downs from parents, so tons of vintage chevelle's, nova's, mopars, camaro's firebirds etc in California the time me and my friends were learning to drive.   

a 1973 formula firebird with the ram air hood it had the endura rubber front end two  round headlights very different from the smokey and the bandit front end. Never realized how rare the car was till i looked at a thrashed 73 t/a, was a pile of junk and the guy wanted 3000 bucks for it. I sold my nice 73 firebird for 800 bucks was young and dumb, have always regreted it. Like Mike said theese old cars have skyrocketed in price since the late 90's.

Went through 5 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7's. Should have kept the last one. XR-7 with GT package, 390 with 428 heads. Factory 8 track,cruise control.
Pass everything but a gas station. :-)

I had a 68 Mustang that I would love to have back.  Still have pictures of it up in my basement.

I had a 69 Stang, wish I never sold

My first new car that I bought when I got out of college was a 1984 Mustang GT Turbo.  It had a turbo-charged 2.3L with 5 speed and a sunroof.  The turbo was a nice package and much easier on the gas than the 5.0L.  They made less than 3,500 of the model that I had so I suspect that it would have been worth some good money someday.  The sad thing is that I traded it in for a base model 4 door Escort.  :darn:

Of the machines that I have owned, I wish I would have kept my Heintz Canada Dry Cooler.  Made a nice profit but I will probably never see one in that good of shape again.

Pretty much every peice I have taken off the wall and sold.. I alway have a little Sellers remorse , but usually goes away when the check comes! :biggrin:

We had a '67 Mustang 4spd 289 that my dad gave us in the spring of '09. Although he gave it to us with the intention of having us sell it and keep the money, we thought it would be fun to drive once in a while, take to car gatherings, etc. It just ended up not being practical for us. It gave us three cars with a one car carport. I had to learn to drive manual, and the wife didn't want to. We weren't driving it much in the traffic around here. Winter storage was expensive and we seemed to always have little issues with how it ran and the carb which starting getting $. I would have liked to have kept it, it was cool, but we sold it in Nov. '10.

When we bought our house in 1992, I found three Walt Disney/Standard Oil 24" painted tin signs in the attic.
I sold the two Mickey Mouse and kept the Donald, but knowing now that there were only 5 designs made....wish I'd kept them!!
I do still have the Donald Duck sign, which is NM.

I should have kept the batmobile, but that dog gone utility belt was just too cool to pass up on.

My favorite car was my 1976 Firebird, the last  year before Pontiac went with square headlamps.
Candy apple red, with a stereo  I would now call the cops on if it came down my street,  and the usual accessories, Cragars,  gas shocks, etc.
machine wise, I regret selling my V39, since it was my first machine, but  hey, i have one waiting to get redone, so it's not to regretful

When I was a kid, I had a box of Nazi items from the war that my grandfather had somehow obtained. As a preteen in the early 80s I sold them to some collector. I'd like to know what they were and we're actually worth.

BC - you also sold a restored a Stoner Junior with a Gum Wheel.  Has anyone else ever seen that version?
