Title: First Machine
Post by: jgastonl on July 30, 2012, 12:48:21 pm
Pictures of my first restoration.  I finished it back in February.  I added a light (string lights around bottle stack, thanks Creighton) and a switch to turn on or off.  I converted the light above the bottle door to an LED.  This light stays on 24/7 not exactly sure why.  Its not shown in the pics though.  That was done after the pics were taken.

Thanks for the comments.  I spray painted the shelves with hammertone paint.  Compressor - I used a high heat flat black spray paint.

Does the light above the dispensing door always stay on?  Mine does and its filled with coins.

you will have to add a switch if you want it to be turned off and on as you please.

Very nice job, I've always liked the light up machines.

This one wasn't a light up one...I added that feature.  I cut out a square out of the metal sign, then I applied velcro to the plexi-sign.  Then added a fluorescent light to the back.

I think my next restoration will be a Victor gumball machine.  Preferably one like this one,

Any help in finding one is appreciated!
