Title: Pepsi Double Dot S&S/Quikold Cooler
Post by: Eric on July 26, 2012, 08:24:06 pm
Don't know what model # this is... But it's the same as the Orange Crush Rod restored.. It uses a single master lid
instead of a single standard lid like all other juniors...
This will say S&S on the opener.. but the body style is becoming more like the Quikolds I like.
I wonder if this is a transition from S&S to Quikold?... Nice rare little cooler.. too bad it isn't embossed...

Yeah, he had that for sale for over a year now on and off CL. I remember it because of the color, kinda funky for Pepsi and the fact that it is non embossed. I didn't know he wanted that much for it though.

No... he will never get that (IMO).... Non-embossed... he'd be lucky to get $400... and I think that's high for what it needs.

I would think the Logo should be a double dot...

Hey Eric
I've only seen one other like this one and it was a generic also. My assumption would be that all parts laying around were utilized to make a finished product(cooler), and absolutely nothing was wasted. This was what was done by the Major Jukebox manufacturers in the 40's also, I've seen alot of things that weren't recorded as ever being made. I think your "right-on" price wise. I'd say $250-$500 would be fair.

Ha! good eye Kilroy.. Didn't notice the dot just knew it was due to the lettering...
