Title: Auction tonight Post by: halehouse on July 20, 2012, 04:43:41 pm http://www.rickardsauctions.com/
I'm at this auction tonight and there is a lollipop sign similar to one mentioned in another thread. I'll try to stay and see what it goes for. I think there are photos in the link above. Title: Re: Auction tonight Post by: halehouse on July 20, 2012, 05:58:31 pm Of course they are going through all the smalls first. There are three Sprite flanges I am watching in particular. It's tough to gauge if this stuff will go high or low. I'm listening to all the Pawn Star and American Picker comments around me.

Title: Re: Auction tonight Post by: halehouse on July 20, 2012, 09:19:09 pm Yeah. It was long. I was waiting on the Sprite flange signs, so I didn't spend any $ early. I bid to $270 for one, but they went to $280 and the guy took all 3.

Do you know what the CC 1927 Arrow sign went for...? Title: Re: Auction tonight Post by: halehouse on July 20, 2012, 09:56:29 pm Dan, Do you know what the CC 1927 Arrow sign went for...? I wrote down a bunch of prices. One of these arrows (the two in the left of this pice) went for $550 and the other about the same. The triangle sign on the bottom with the brackets had some damage to the back and sold for $400. The one on the top $725. The lollipop sign was two sided, both sides very nice with the original frame and base. $1050 There were 9 of the large rectangular signs and they sold between $130-160 each. Title: Re: Auction tonight Post by: Jim on July 21, 2012, 10:03:59 am Thanks Dan!
I would like to find one of these 1927/1929 arrow signs in good to very good at a reasonable price and this seems fair although I cannot see the sign up close... |
