Title: What would you pay, Half Junior
Post by: SSmoothie on July 04, 2012, 01:21:13 pm
Its in route to me now, no rust, looks like all the original parts are their. Someone painted over the handle and lid and did a crappy job. Petretti's 12th edition has the value at $1400. Some came with handles on the side, this one does have them. Measurements are 14 H X 25 long and 12 wide.

Here is a teaser pic.

I saw one at an antique store and it sold for $299.00.  It only lasted 3 hours.

The inside lid when you open int should embossed.

Hard to tell, so many of these are faked, flip it over & see if it's a hack-saw-special regular junior cut just below the embossing

It's a real junior, the dimensions confirm it. They all had recessed handles, this one has plates covering them and homemade handles screwed on instead. Why?

It will be here in couple of days, these are pic the owner had, I'll have a better idea of condition. I can not find any pictures of what type of handle came with these.

Heres the one at Vintagevending.com that is restored.

JohnieG, this one does meet the right dimensions and the embossing on the front and ends are totally different than a junior.

That's good to here, sorry for the late posting response, our power went out for about 4 hours due to some nasty T-storms rolling through.

Not all Westinghouse chest machines had the embossed Coca Cola under the lids, They came both ways like pictured above and embossed.
