Title: Cooler lids
Post by: Kaleid20 on May 22, 2012, 11:05:01 am
Guys I have a WE-6, but the one that looks like the WD-12. My lids are pretty beat and rusted up. Anyone got any in good shape they'd be willing to sell? Don't want ones in perfect condition, just ones that are not all rusted at the hinges, etc. Looking for ones with the Coca-Cola embossing on the bottom. I want to keep it original.

I'd even be willing to send you these and pay the difference for some goods ones. I figure a welding pro could fix these up, but it's beyond me and my wallet.

These are mine, for reference:

Being a wet cooler, most lids (sold separately) are going to be in that kind of shape. I've seen worse too.
I'd break them down, blast them, reinsulate & fill in the voids with fiberglass, sand and paint.
It'll look alright.
You start spending a lot of money on a WE-6 and you will never recoup it. It is not a popular machine or practical for most people.
