Title: Cavalier USS-8-64 Marque light Post by: jlorey on May 12, 2012, 03:12:25 pm Can anyone send me a picture of what the marquee light should look likes when it works correctly?
I pulled the cover off and it has a ballast but no light fixture. Thanks in advance. Title: Re: Cavalier USS-8-64 Marque light Post by: johnieG on May 12, 2012, 06:53:54 pm ??? do you mean it has no marque sign installed in the light-box? like just the electrical guts/ballast/no bulb?

Here is the light assembly that you need: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DRINK-Coca-Cola-bottle-machine-SIGN-BACK-LIGHT-UP-For-Cavalier-CSS-64G-/280840920608?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item41636c5e20 Title: Re: Cavalier USS-8-64 Marque light Post by: jlorey on May 30, 2012, 07:00:25 pm I didn't realize it wasn't made to light up. I have a Vendo HA63C and assumed it was the same. Thanks for clearing it up.
Title: Re: Cavalier USS-8-64 Marque light Post by: johnieG on May 30, 2012, 08:21:34 pm I tagged a picture from the prior link/discussion to help people get a visual on the subject, so then , yes, your machine has a solid-steel painted Coke sign & the wiring you see is for the bottle door florescent lamp behind it then.
Now you could make it a "lightup model" by obtaining a plastic marquee sign & mounting frame to replace the steel sign and then you could add an 12" "under the kitchen counter" style of florescent lighting fixture & tap into the 120 volts that feeds the bottle door lamp. the hardest part is locating the proper sign & frame, the wiring would be pretty basic from there on out. |
