Title: Locating the free play switch.
Post by: johnieG on July 26, 2004, 10:44:06 pm
I've had a few emails inquiring where the " free play" switch could be mounted, I suggest not locating it in the bottle opener opening, due to , well it's wet there! :O  ( soda fizzing up & splashing around) so here's where I've been mounting mine , in the coin return cup.
In this example , it's a Vendo VF63/Coke . I've modified a Dollar bill adapter, by cutting off the four pin molex connector from the one end, & popping it open to wire it using pins #1 & #3, ( the pins & sockets of the adapter are wired to pass each location straight through, ie: male #1 to female #1, etc.)this allows me to plug it into the jones connector & also keep using the coin mech. as well, you other people who are rewiring a door harness/machine, might wish to include a fuseholder in series to pin one, as shown ( to protect the door harness from shorts from say,  a blown ballast, coinmech. etc.) Anyway, well ....here ya go.
