Title: Dr.Pepper Clock
Post by: rayg on April 19, 2012, 10:40:31 pm
This Dr. Pepper clock is very nice, but a little too rich for my blood at $2,500.00 it may be worth it to a collector . But it does clear up the "10 2 4" mystery.  I hear different  story what those numbers meant.

In their early advertising days they used to say that 10 -2 and 4 was a good time to drink a Dr. Pepper.

I don't know much about clocks, but I think for $2500, it would be working.

the Cleveland Neon Marquee clocks are great clocks, and I've seen several Coke , some Pepsi and 7ups but honestly the first Dr. Pepper one... so on the rarity scale, I'd say it's more rare...
now 2500 for a non working clock, rare or not.. litltle high.. if it where working, maybe 1500-1800 after cleaned up a bit..

Being a Texan, i would love to have that clock...not a that price though. 10,2,4 was what the creator of Dr Pepper plugged as when people had a drop in energy. Therefore it was Pepper time.
