OK it was a trip today :Oo: we had it loaded in the wife's Ford Escape and I felt like Glen when he had that machine stuffed in his car :oh:,  The latch on the wife Ford escape did not go down all the way so with some adjusting  got it in last night  .

Here is a picture of the three of us

Nice work Pat.   Does everything work on it?  There isn't much graphics on it   Was it like that from the factory?

That looks awesome! I agree, it is much smaller than I had pictured too.

Kind of looks like one of those old steam bath contraptions with Leonard's head sticking up out of the middle.

Congrats Leonard!  Nice work as usual Pat!  You need to post a few more picks including the inside.  That is a very unique machine.

You moved that thing in an Escort?  or are you just kidding Pat?  I would like to see that picture!

Pics like this makes me want to restore one of my machines (like my 110 generic from Tim.... leaning more and more towards a 110 Orange Crush ((decals not embossed))

Thanks again everybody it was fun to do  and it was a wild trip down  with that in the back of my wife's Ford Escape ( not escort !  :upside:)  one good bump
and that latch would have popped so thank god for smooth roads, plus the wife was nervous about a machine in her new Vehicle ( but better gas milage won)

Nice work Pat.   Does everything work on it?  There isn't much graphics on it   Was it like that from the factory?

And yeah every thing works on it , it was fun to get operating again.

Great job Pat!!
Hauled many machines in our Escape. Cut a tennis ball to cover the lower center rear door latch post.
6" cardboard tube to roll machines over and in to the cargo space.

Only whine I have is no proper tie down points for the rear hatch to the frame. I put on a class two hitch and loop a long bunge cord around the rear wiper blade post and connect to where the trailer emergency chains would hook. Works for short hauls. Just no drag racing/hard launches :-)
It's 2001 with 135,000 hard miles. Will be retired soon and will buy another Escape. Friend has one with 240,000.

Leonard, your machine looks awesome!  Great rare addition to the collection.

Pat, awesome job, as always!  Bet it will be a GOOD while before you do another one of those!

Creighton--the tennis ball is a great idea.  I hauled many machines in my wife's mini-van and my old Dodge Magnum and hope to haul a few more in my new Dodge Journey.  I usually just pad the latch post with a stadium blanket folder over a few times.  The Magnum and Journey have a storage area below the rear floor.  I keep a 3 foot long piece of 2.5" PVC, work gloves and a couple stadium blankets in there so I am always ready to pick up a machine.  That PVC makes single handed loading a breeze!

You do have to be careful though because of the no tie down issue.  A few years back after I picked up my Canada Dry VMC 110 (sold to bonovox), some idiot cut me off and I had to jam on the brakes.  That machine almost visited me in the front seat.

That would have been an interesting news story:  Killed by a vintage vending machine while driving down the road!  "We'll miss Tim", said members of the Michigan SMC Mafia, "but thank God that machine came through the wreck in one piece.  Restored that thing is worth $5 maybe $6 thousand!"  8)

You guys wouldn't do that would you?

Wow Tim, I never knew the 110 almost embossed ya!  Im off to Vegas for my 40th, and I hope to break the bank there and get the 110 moving with the restoration.  Looking more and more like it's gonna be a Orange Crush 110.

And yeah, the tubing idea that Tim just mentioned above, works GREAT, he had that machine loaded in my trailer with EASE!!!
I usually lay blankets down and give a good push on the machine, but my back pays for that move the next day!

No Tim we wouldn't say that. We would mention a restored V110 goes for $2000
