Title: Re: s.s. bezel on ideal slider Post by: Funtronics on March 22, 2012, 06:24:33 am We sell new ones that go right over top the old ones, and are held in with the screws that hold your rubber in. I think the originals are welded in and would be very hard to get off. You can go to our web sight www.fun-tronicsllc.com and check them out under the Ideal 55 section.
Title: Re: s.s. bezel on ideal slider Post by: SIGNGUY on March 22, 2012, 09:34:00 am I had a old shell of a slider cooler they me and my body guy decided to see how hard it would be to dismantle.. and lets just say.. DoN"T you'll create more of a headache and mess trying to remove it and then trying to weld in a new peice... it is welded in in many places and you littlerly have to cut it outand it hacks up the body..
use the one that funtroncs sells , it's easy and looks great! Title: Re: s.s. bezel on ideal slider Post by: Slider-Bob on March 22, 2012, 10:10:02 am I currently have an Ideal 55 Pepsi slider that I'm parting out, and the 2 foot long piece at the top/front came right out.
It was not welded on, and was easily removed. Title: Re: s.s. bezel on ideal slider Post by: MoonDawg on March 22, 2012, 10:16:44 am How was it held in Bob?
Title: Re: s.s. bezel on ideal slider Post by: Slider-Bob on March 22, 2012, 07:49:16 pm It was just snapped in there. No nut/bolt, no rivets. It may have had some minor adhesive on it, but I removed it with my fingers kinda prying/lifting at the same time. I have it in my shed and can take pics of it to verify.
