Title: Re: R 12 PRESSURE Post by: cohammer on March 11, 2012, 10:06:18 pm I have the door off it so I am not taking a temp. right now I have just repaired a hole in the coil and have vac. down and am replacing the R12 back into the system

Title: Re: R 12 PRESSURE Post by: r500 on April 26, 2012, 09:16:50 pm Recharge the system to 30deg above ambient temperature , read the temperature entering the condenser and add 30deg's (80 deg's + 30 =110deg's) find 110deg's on the gage for r-12 and add gas until system maintains a constant 30 deg's above ambient temperature entering the condenser then check box temp and you should be very close to the proper charge ,and pressures, the true way is to use a dial a charge and weigh the charge in. Never charge and allow the high pressure to get above 190psi keep it close to 30 deg's above ambient temperature .

I did go back and find the liquid line to have stoped up and had too take the tub back out and replace the whole line back down to the coil and replaced the dryer again.i did break out the dial a charge this time and went old school . It is working great now and I bet next time I check the old lines better before I put it all back |
