Title: Crank Handle Spring
Post by: vendo39 on March 06, 2012, 09:48:16 am
I’m finally reassembling a Vendo 56 after a long delay and last night I discovered I’m missing one of the two spring rests (pictured as part #'s 81 & 83 in the attached picture).  Will the crank work without one of the rests or do I need to fabricate one up to have any chance of the crank working?
Thanks

they are there to provide extra tension to the spring... I've seen some that only have 1 in them, and have reassembled them the same and they work well.

My 81 only had 1 and it works.

Thanks!   Going with one!  Assuming it doesn't go flying off into some dark corner of the shop never to be found again during reassembly!
