I have seen this version appear on eBay many times so if you are looking for a value it might be prudent to check there. With regard to restore or not... I don't think the item is worth 1000's so the chances are that if you did restore its not going to knock a fortune off the value. I would be inclined to restore the bracket, if it is too far gone, and leave the sign as is. I have an al metal Pepsi Door push that I am very fond of. I would value it at 100 to 150 and if it were mine I would leave it like it was, most of these dont have the metal part someone just ripped the sign off and threw the metal part away..
