Looks to be a GE wet chest, hard to tell without taking a "peek" inside, the picture's a bit low resolution, but I'd say $300-400 range if it's an Ice chest, or if it is a refrigerated model & only missing the compressor & the evaporator is still intact AND the tanks not a rusted out piece of Swiss-cheese ( these chests came with a galvanized liner that rusted out quickly) at least it has the hard to find louvered front cover, but what about the crown ( bottle cap) catcher?

GE chest missing the cap catcher.... I had the dry box version sold it for $400. it was complete and solid.

Guy says he has seen one sell on ebay for 4500.00  completly restored   but his needs the complete cooling system . I told him that a professional restorer might ask that price but doubt it sold for that . im not that interested in this cooler and expecially for any crazy price but the guy told me to make him an offer and I told him I didnt want to offend him but he still want me to make an offer . I told him its not worh much to me but I would like to see it  :tounge:

Tell him he saw one LISTED for $4500, we all know it didn't sell for that much.

I do see them being a $400.00 machine but to get it painted and all those logos would be another $1500. or more. So even if you offered him $2000 he would be offended so it's better to just let him take with him it to his grave.

Nice machine but it's still just a non coin-operated chest.

I have no idea of the value but that is a great looking box, I like it. Great color with all the Pepsi Logos. I would pay $400 for it just to see it sitting on my patio.

American Restorations strikes again.  Wet coolers are a pain in the @#$ and not very practical.  I restored my double and removed the wet cooler system and I now use is to store towels for my pool.

Just my .02

Was he offended at all, or just matter of fact?

No he was great . He just said he couldnt take 300-400 because he had more in it than that . The guy needs money and wants to try and get as much as he can . I told him to let me know if he changes his mind .

Hmm, I guess you can play "wait & see"

I know a lot of people who over-paid for some machines & started to get into them only to have the project fizzle, or other circumstances change and they decide to sell & all they remember is how much they paid for that machine up front, not taking into account that the machine ( in the case of a working unit) has what I like to call a "Usage enjoyment depreciation"  factor , IE; they've used it for years, done next to nothing to the machine other than stock it. so it's like, yeah, you ( the owner) paid say $900.00 for the thing, now you've torn it apart & major components are missing or beyond repair, but they won't budge from the original price they paid. & that is their prerogative.

On the plus side, if anybody needs a new/repro'd full stainless steel liner for this standard size GE wet-chest, I've got one.   but I'm not letting it go for less than I paid!  :tounge:

Hey may come around. Looks like a nice, clean cooler. I think you offered a fair price.

1 was a westinghouse standard and the other a Vendo 110 converted to electric . Both were barn finds with a lot of rust and missing parts.
