Title: casters/brackets install @ the factory?
Post by: JUNIOR on February 22, 2012, 04:44:38 pm
My 81D came with brackets on the bottom to extend the casters out further (to help from tipping over?)
They are painted red & I was just wondering if this was an option with the machine or if someone just added them on at some point?

I believe they were an optional kit that you could purchase.
I have references to handle/dolly kits in some of my machine manuals.
I see this type of dolly on a lot of machines, but don't recall any documentation specifically about them. Unlikely that everyone around the country had the same idea to extend the casters out for better stability.

I'd buy them if you wanted to sell - depending on overall costs ($ + S&H).
Like you, wouldn't want them on a machine I have on display and use. I would put them on a machine in storage as it would make it convenient to move it around.
