Title: ideal coin mech
Post by: cohammer on February 11, 2012, 11:43:46 pm
On my ideal 35 the coin mech  looks to be complete but when I drop in a nickle it hits the coin return and goes straight thru. It does only have one slot on the front and it says 5cents could this be a simple fix? Is there any way too tell the date on the mech ? It also says 5 cents on the inside stamping of the mech.

Looks complete and probably just needs a good cleaning
That style mech is not "correct" for the Ideal 35 though.

That is what I was wondering because the instructions under the lid show a mech with the coin return out the front.

Are you sure there isn't another slot under that plate? I'm looking at one I have and the dime slot is on the right and nickel slot is on the left. You may have a 10 cent mech. with a 5 cent rejector.

You would need to have a dime cam and a nickel cam on the shaft to accept both denominations. Right now you only have a single cam. I have dime rejectors and will even trade you if you want - you just pay shipping.
