I always thought someone should re-design the evap housing on the 81 deck so that all of the shelf slots could be used. Have you ever looked into that? Title: Re: V81 compressor deck rebuilt. Post by: SIGNGUY on January 11, 2012, 05:17:25 pm I have taken in two machines recently where they came up with a solution to make the lower shelf sit in all positions...
one had notch cut out of the shelf so it would fit over the housing.. the other bashed in the top of the housing with a hammer to make it fit at least to the middle setting.. :biggrin: :glare: I think we still need to work on a new design... :biggrin: PS.. Post by: johnieG on January 14, 2012, 10:07:32 am Do you mean what paint? the physical condenser is original to the deck ( if that's your question) I straightened the fins, wire-wheeled the rusty spots, & applied Rustoleum rust converting primer, then a couple of coats of semi-gloss & new hardware "clip-nuts" & bolts to secure it to the deck.
