Title: coinco s75 or mars 6200 Post by: MikeT on January 05, 2012, 06:02:23 pm Hi GUYS
Thanks to this great site I am now the owner of a vendorlator vf56 Square top My question is I purchased a reconditioned coinco 9800b for $85.00 with a 90 day warranty . Today I recieved a Mars 6200 coin changer instead, with a note that it is a Far Superior mech and will work MUCH better than the S75! and this has a 6mo warranty? He will exchange it for the 9800b if I really want it? What do you guys think??? I guess I really want something reliable? Its for my shop. THANKS!! old "switch-a-roo" on me personally, ( I'm touchy about this subject) It's not cool he did that regardless of what the note says, you ( as the seller) NEVER substitute "A" for "B" without the customers prior approval. Physically & electrically, yes it will work however, so if your happy, then you're good to go. Title: Re: coinco s75 or mars 6200 Post by: MikeT on January 06, 2012, 07:08:45 am Thanks johnieG
Im With you about people doing the "Bait and switch" I hate it! Is there truth about the Mars being a better piece than the S75? It seems like newer technology? What problems are common with the S75? Title: Re: coinco s75 or mars 6200 Post by: johnieG on January 06, 2012, 06:35:54 pm True, the MARS 'mech it is a later technology than the Coinco, and can probably be set at a higher vending price & it may accept one-dollar coins. bit for simplicity you cant beat the old slug rejector, if the MARS "flight-deck" ( the slug/coin detector) goes, it's a piece or scrap. the Coinco either works or it doesn't.
I just feel that the Coinco is the "correct" style mech for the machine if you're going for originality, other than that, it's six of one & half dozen of the other. ( as to your preference) So form what I see form my perspective is that you are stuck with the MARS unit unless he's going to pay for the return shipping & send the other one to you for no additional charge, which I don't really seeing him (or her) doing voluntarily, :tounge: but if it was an EBay sale, I'd be sure to leave appropriate feed back as to how you feel about the "sale" :glare: |
