Its the large spring that goes the whole distance of the bottle rack. Spring extenision #5 part # 44135 on the vending mech assembly MASTER LINK SPRING

Unfortunately it was not the correct the spring. I guess they also call this spring the master link spring. Back to searching for me. The spring in there as it connected to a coat hanger that goes up the whole length of the link system. Does the spring not connect to the top? Thought it might since the coat hanger does

If so, it does not connect to the top of the stack. It connects to a nib sticking out of the stack body. It is a little hard to see but the pic is the best one I have that shows it.
