Title: Short Stoner junior Post by: bcharlton on November 14, 2011, 11:38:10 am Has anyone else found a a Stoner Jr. candy machine with the base shortened by about 10 inches? I just picked up this one and I am wondering if the vendor did it himself or it was done by the factory. The work on it appears it was done by the vendor. Maybe he was trying to appeal to the "short " crowd.
Anyone else ever see one of these? Title: Re: Short Stoner junior Post by: mznb1u on November 14, 2011, 12:15:24 pm I have seen two different sizes of bases on the 180's--I suspect it is the same for Juniors too.

but I believe there is the Junior and then there is a model called the 120.. the difference is in the vending capacity.. the Jr vends 100 and the 120 , well 120 I think. The 120 has a Taller "Torso" so to speak so typically has a smaller stand,, so what I believe you have is a Standard Junior "Torso" on a stand that was meant for a 120 model? Just my guess.. It looks like you got yourself a nice straight Stoner. Check the base, it should have two cross member supports with holes used to bolt up the base to the "Torso" , it would be a real pain and allot of work to cut the base down and then re-weld the cross members. So more then likely it just a short base as the others has thought as well. Ray Title: Re: Short Stoner junior Post by: bcharlton on November 17, 2011, 05:18:56 pm thanks Ray,
However, upon further review, I think it was shortened by the vendor. I think the factory would look more "finished", I will keep it small and restore it as "TastyCake" (as I am from Philadelphia) theme Wish me luck. It will be my 5th Stoner restoration. Brian |
